Romanticism paintings or the Romantic period was a period of art celebrating the past and nature. It was a reaction to the expansion of the Industrial Revolution of the 1800's and beyond. The countryside and seascapes were particularly popular subject matter, allowing for some stunning romanticism oil paintings to be achieved.
