As in the classic period, Classicism is a term used to describe paintings that are based on the Classical period of Greek and Roman life. There have been several periods of Classicism, initially in the 15th century with the Italian Renaissance, and later, in the 19th century, with artists such as Lord Frederic Leighton, who was also associated with the Pre-Raphaelite movement. Classical works of Leighton, strongly influenced by the Greek and Roman period, include Flaming June, which Leighton painted in 1895.

I love it! The detailed brushstrokes look just like the original. So much better than a poster – I am so happy and will be telling my friends.

My Gustav Klimt painting is now hanging on my wall. It really is a terrific work of art. I love the gold and the gold leaf application and everyone who sees it comments on how lovely it is. I am planning on ordering Judith 1 shortly.
