Chebotarev, Konstantin Konstantinovich. 20th century Russian artist who studied at the Kazan Art School. Chebotarev experimented with several styles of painting including Impressionism, Cubism and Expressionism. He worked in Moscow as a set designer for stage productions but he was disliked for having fought for the White Army during the Russian Revolution and then for being a “bourgeois” artist. Paintings by Konstantinovich were more appreciated abroad but he was finally accepted in to the Moscow Artists Union.
