One of our artists working on a hand-painted oil painting in the studio using traditional oil painting techniques
When Reproduction-Gallery was founded in 1996, ordering a hand-painted oil painting from another country was something few people would have imagined. The internet was still in its infancy, information about great works of art was far less accessible, and buying artwork online was still a new concept.
What began as a small family business has gradually evolved into an international company serving homeowners, interior designers, hotels, businesses, and art lovers around the world. Today, our paintings can be found in homes and workplaces across North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, Asia, and many other parts of the world. Last year alone, we shipped completed paintings to more than 80 countries.
As our business grew, Reproduction Galleries LLC was established in the United States to support our international customer base. Although the business has expanded considerably over the years, one principle has remained unchanged.
While many companies diversified into prints, posters, mass-produced wall décor, and a wide variety of home furnishing products, we deliberately chose a different path. We remained focused on one specialist craft: creating hand-painted oil painting reproductions.
It would have been easier to broaden our product range. Still, we believed that doing so would eventually dilute the knowledge, experience, and attention to detail that had become the foundation of our business. Instead, we invested in continually deepening our understanding of art history, painting techniques, and the practical challenges involved in faithfully recreating some of the world's most celebrated works of art.
Looking back, we believe remaining specialists has been one of the most important decisions we have ever made. Great businesses are rarely defined by everything they choose to do, but by the things they choose not to do. Staying focused on one craft has allowed us to continually refine our expertise, build lasting relationships with art lovers around the world, and remain true to the principles on which Reproduction-Gallery was founded.
One of the things that has changed most since Reproduction-Gallery was founded is the way businesses communicate with their customers. Automated systems, chatbots, and AI assistants have become increasingly common, often making it difficult to speak with someone who understands your question or can provide practical advice.
We have chosen a different approach.
When you contact Reproduction-Gallery, whether by live chat, telephone, or email, you'll be communicating with a member of our team rather than an automated system. If you have questions about a painting, would like advice on selecting the right size, need guidance on a custom commission, or want to discuss an idea before placing an order, we're always happy to help.
Many people are surprised to learn that custom commissions now account for around one-third of the artwork we create. Some customers ask us to reproduce a painting that isn't yet included in our catalog, while others commission completely original projects based on personal photographs or reference images. These commissions are often among the most rewarding projects we undertake because every painting is unique and created in close collaboration with the customer.
If you're looking for practical advice before getting started, our Help Center also includes detailed guides covering topics such as choosing the right size, commissioning custom artwork, preserving original proportions, and many other frequently asked questions.
To see examples of custom commissions we've completed for customers around the world, we invite you to explore our gallery of finished custom paintings.
Over the years, we've found that many of the most successful projects begin with a conversation. Sometimes a customer is unsure which size would work best. Sometimes they want to compare different artwork, discuss a particular room, or ask whether an image is suitable for reproduction. These conversations help us understand exactly what each customer hopes to achieve, allowing us to recommend the approach most likely to produce the best possible result.
Equally important, we're prepared to say when we believe a different approach would produce a better result. Recommending a different size to preserve the original composition, suggesting an alternative reference image, or explaining the limitations of a particular commission isn't always the easiest commercial decision to make. Still, we've learned that honest advice builds long-term trust and usually leads to a better finished painting.
Although we now serve customers around the world, we've worked hard to preserve the personal service that has been part of Reproduction-Gallery from the beginning. Every inquiry matters to us, whether someone is purchasing their first painting, furnishing an entire home, or returning years later to commission another artwork.
Trust isn't something that can be claimed—it has to be earned. Every painting we complete, every conversation we have, and every customer we help contributes to the reputation we have built over the years. We understand that choosing a hand-painted oil painting is an important decision, and we never take for granted the confidence our customers place in us.
One of the greatest compliments we receive isn't a review written shortly after a painting has been delivered. It's when a customer returns years later to commission another artwork or recommends Reproduction-Gallery to friends, family, or colleagues. Those long-term relationships mean far more to us than any advertising campaign because they reflect confidence built through experience rather than promises.
We also believe that reputation is built through consistency. Whether a customer is purchasing a single painting for their home, commissioning artwork for a hotel, or adding to a collection they've built over many years, our aim is always the same: to produce a hand-painted oil painting that we're proud to place our name behind.
As our collection continues to grow, we're also expanding our Help Center with practical guidance to help customers choose artwork with confidence and better understand the commissioning process for hand-painted oil paintings.
Every completed painting represents both our customer's vision and our own high expectations. That's a responsibility we take seriously. It's one of the reasons we've remained focused on continually improving our work, listening to customer feedback, and maintaining the standards that have guided Reproduction-Gallery from the beginning.
We encourage visitors to explore our customer reviews, testimonials, and photographs of completed paintings displayed in real homes, offices, hotels, and commercial interiors.
These experiences provide valuable insight into both the artwork we create and the service we provide. For many prospective buyers, there is no better way to understand our business than by hearing directly from people who have already worked with us.
I always speak highly of you. Working with you on such a large project was one of the most professional experiences I have had. Thank you for your help in making it such a success.

Our collection has never been built simply by adding as many images as possible. From the beginning, our objective has been to create a carefully researched catalog of hand-painted oil paintings that can be browsed with confidence.
Before a painting is added to our website, we research the original artwork, confirm the artist and title, verify dimensions whenever possible, and ensure it is suitable for hand-painted reproduction. That careful approach helps us maintain a catalog that reflects the standards we expect of our own business, rather than simply the largest number of images.
Every day, we continue to expand our collection by researching new artists, lesser-known paintings, museum collections, and customer requests. Many additions begin with a simple inquiry from someone searching for a favorite painting or an artist they cannot find on our website. If a work is suitable for reproduction, we're always pleased to research it and consider adding it to our catalog so that others can enjoy it as well.
We also believe that a growing collection should become more useful, not simply larger. That's why we continue to improve the information accompanying our paintings, organize our collections more effectively, and help visitors discover artists, art movements, and subjects they may never have encountered before.
Our catalog will never be finished, and we believe that's one of its greatest strengths. There will always be remarkable artists to discover, important paintings to research, and customer suggestions that inspire new additions. By continuing to expand our collection thoughtfully rather than simply increasing its size, we hope to create an increasingly valuable resource for art lovers around the world.
