Aristarkh Vasilyevich Lentulov is a Russian artist whose oil paintings cover many Art Movements. He is a Russian painter born in 1882, dying in Moscow in 1943, aged 61. Lentulov was attracted to Robert Delaunay's colorful paintings. From 1910 -1911 Lentulov studied in Paris, where he befriended famous French artists Fernand Leger and Jean Metzinger. However, upon his return to Russia the following year, his interest in Futurism became clear. Fellow Russian artist Wassily Kandinsky was influenced by this era of Lentulov's artistic creativity.
