Dirk van Baburen (also known as Dirck van Baburen) was a 17th century Dutch painter born in Utrecht. He was a close follower of the style of Italian artist Caravaggio, and was a founder of the Utrecht school of Caravaggisti, followers of Caravaggio. His career was short and few of his paintings are known today. Most of his oil paintings were painted in Rome. His most famous work, the Procuress, is held by the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston.
