American Impressionist artist Willard Leroy Metcalf painted The Ballet Dancers in 1885, and it is held in a private collection.

The Dancer by Pierre Auguste Renoir, painted in 1874, was well received when exhibited at the Societe Anonyme Co-operative the same year.   The painting is admired for its graceful charm; the dancer is believed to be Henriette Henriot, also featured in another larger painting by the artist. The National Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C., owns Renoir's ballet dancer painting.

Jean Louis Forain: French Impressionist Artist

Jean Louis Forain is another French artist who shared Degas' interest in the ballet, bringing his vibrant and expressive style to the canvas.
