Alson Skinner Clark 1875-1949. An American Impressionist artist probably best known for his landscape paintings. Alson Clark spent some time in France, close to the Giverny home of Claude Monet. It was here that Alson Skinner Clark painted Summer Afternoon Giverny in 1910 . When he returned to the United States he lived in Pasadena, California where he painted large murals for the Carthay Circle Theater in Los Angeles and the Pasadena Playhouse.
Alson Skinner Clark’s oil paintings are wonderful artwork and recommended for viewing.
