Carlo Carra was a 20th century Italian artist famous for his Futurist Movement paintings. Carra worked in Paris at the turn of the century then visited London and finally returned to his native Milan and worked with other Futurist artists such as Giacomo Balla. At the start of WW1 Carra moved away from Futurist work and became interested in still life paintings following the style of Henri Rousseau. In the 1920’s and 1930’s his work was mainly landscapes.
