Italian Baroque painter Domenico Fetti was active in Rome, Milan and Venice. He was sponsored by the Duke of Gonzaga in Mantua and painted many portraits and religious scenes for the Ducal Palace. Fetti’s style appears to have been influenced by Peter Paul Rubens. His work can be seen in the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York which owns The Good Samaritan
