Carlo Carra was a 20th century Italian artist famous for his Futurist Art Movement paintings. Carra worked in Paris at the turn of the century, then visited London before finally returning to his native Milan.
While in Italy, he worked alongside another famous Futurist artist, Giacomo Balla.
At the start of WWI, Carlo Carra moved away from Futurist paintings, becoming interested in still-life paintings following in the style of Henri Rousseau.
In the 1920s and 1930s, Carra's paintings comprised mainly landscape scenes.
