Sophie Taeuber Arp is a Swiss-born artist whose body of diverse art stems from her involvement in the Dada art movement. In 1915 she met fellow Dadaism artist Jean Arp. They married in 1922, and 1926 moved to France, where she worked with Joaquin Torres Garcia. During this period, she became associated with Sonia Delaunay and Wassily Kandinsky. Taeuber-Arps's art encompasses some of the most exciting modern art paintings, which move between constructivism art and modern abstract art.
